Disaster ResponseWhat We Are Planning to DoThere are three big opportunities to help out in North Dakota right now.
2. Flooding in Rural North Dakota - several homes all throughout North Dakota have experienced a variety of flooding this spring. Lutheran Disaster Response has had numerous individual calls asking for help. We are in the process of working with LDR to respond to those calls. Please contact Kirk Rosin if you are feeling called to help or want to sign up to be on the email list when updates come out. This is a great opportunity to be a witness for Christ and to minster to people's needs. 3. Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Bismarck - they just recently purchased a building and are in the process of remodeling it from a dog kennel into a church. Visit their website at http://www.holycrossbismarck.org/Holy_Cross_Lutheran_Church/Renovation_Project.html to view specifics about their project. They currently have a timeline of projects and what their needs are. |
Who We AreThe North Dakota Lutheran Laymen's League has organized a disaster response team. This is a group of lay people who volunteer to assist needy people in reconstruction and clean up after a disaster has occurred. How you can get involvedIf you would like more information, or to become involved, you can e-mail Kirk Rosin at krosin@juno.com. You can also contact us to be added to our e-mail list to receive updated information on upcoming projects we are working on or looking for volunteers to work on. What We Have Done
